Hello! I’m a journalist currently based in Lafayette, Louisiana. I’m the Children & Families Reporter at The Current, and a Report for America corps member. I cover topics related to health, education, and inequality, and their impacts on families across South Louisiana.

My freelance work has been published in outlets including The Guardian, El País, Documented, THE CITY, The Intercept, Hyperallergic, Hell Gate, PassBlue, and more.

I was a 2025 Reporting Fellow at the Pulitzer Center, where I worked on stories about how U.S. immigration policy impacts human rights and migration across Mexico’s northern and southern borders. I was a summer 2025 reporting fellow at THE CITY, and before that spent two years as a multimedia producer for the iDeas Lab at Johns Hopkins University. I’m also the lead producer and co-host of Radiotopia’s Bot Love, listed as one of The Atlantic’s best podcasts of 2023. I speak fluent Spanish and German.

Last year, I graduated with honors from Columbia Journalism School.
